Press Release Template: Group, Event, Initiative or Campaign Launch
A professional media template for announcing a nudism, naturism or clothing-optional initiative clearly and accurately
A press release should tell journalists what has happened, why it matters, who is involved and where they can obtain reliable additional information.
This template can be adapted by independent groups, organisations, venues, event organisers and advocacy initiatives.
The original NRE template was created for new naturist groups, events and advocacy campaigns. This expanded version can also be used for programmes, research initiatives, public-information campaigns and other relevant launches.
No membership. No fee. No paywall.

ENDS
Before You Publish or Send It
A press release may be quoted, republished, shortened or used as background by journalists. Check every factual statement before distribution.
When the Story Involves Nudism or Naturism
Nudism, naturism and non-sexual nudity can attract attention that is disproportionate to the underlying announcement.
Clear language can reduce opportunities for misunderstanding.
Explain what the event, organisation or campaign actually is. If nudity is relevant, explain its context without making the entire release about nudity unless that genuinely is the news.
Avoid sensational language merely to attract attention. A stronger media relationship is built when journalists can rely on the information you provide.
Where to Send a Press Release
News Media
Relevant local, regional, national or specialist journalists and newsrooms whose coverage relates to the announcement.
Specialist Publications
Relevant health, recreation, tourism, environment, policy, naturism or community publications where the subject fits their editorial focus.
Community & Institutional Channels
Relevant councils, community publications, associations, newsletters, partners or stakeholder networks.
Public Use & Adaptation
This template is provided freely for public use. No copyright restrictions are attached to this template.
Individuals, organisations, groups, venues, event organisers and advocacy initiatives may adapt it for their own announcements.
The template does not require users to adopt NaturismRE's terminology, objectives or policy positions.
Replace the placeholders with accurate information about your own organisation, event, programme or campaign.
Give the Media the Story, Not the Sensation
A professional press release should make the journalist's job easier.
State what happened. Explain why it matters. Provide accurate information. Give them someone they can contact.
Clear facts. Accurate language. Credible communication.
