Dear Green Leaders and Allies,
I am writing to introduce a new European-aligned global initiative and to propose a strategic cultural-environmental
dialogue between NaturismRE (Naturism Resurgence) and your leadership bodies.
I am Vincent Marty, founder of NaturismRE (NRE), a non-profit international movement aiming to revitalise
naturism and nudism as a conscious response to climate change, body shame, overconsumption, and rising mental
health challenges. Our vision goes beyond leisure: we frame naturism as a post-growth, ecological, and culturally
transformative movement advocating for body freedom, rewilding practices, and the decriminalisation of non-sexual
public nudity.
NRE has already submitted reports and policy requests to 41 developed nations, including proposals for:
Clothing-optional zones in national parks and coastal areas
Public barefoot grounding trails
Reform of outdated decency laws restricting non-sexual nudity
Mental health and environmental research partnerships
We believe these proposals directly align with Green values, particularly within the fields of ecological transition,
human rights, bodily autonomy, cultural diversity, and degrowth.
I would be honoured to share with you our vision and the article submitted this week to the Green European
Journal, titled “Unclothing the Future: Naturism as a Cultural and Ecological Frontier in the Post-Growth Era.” We
believe NRE offers a rare yet practical opportunity to integrate cultural innovation into the Green movement’s policy
platform.
I respectfully invite you to:
Review our proposals and campaign literature
Consider a meeting or digital briefing
Explore the inclusion of NRE themes within Green EFA policy discussions
We welcome feedback, questions, and partnerships—and believe that by working together, we can help Europe lead
the way not only in sustainability, but in cultural liberation for a just, open, and embodied future.
Warm regards
