At NaturismRE, we refer to this phenomenon as the:

“Belly Button View”

A situation where attention is directed inward, prioritising internal control or continuity over broader ecosystem development.

A Structural Reality

  • Organised naturism represents only a small fraction of the global naturist population

  • A significant number of individuals practice naturism outside formal structures

  • Innovation and evolution may not always originate from established organisations

If organisations choose not to adopt new tools or frameworks, that remains their prerogative.

The Individual Factor

Progress does not depend solely on institutions.

Individuals can:

  • Use available frameworks and tools independently

  • Encourage discussion within their communities

  • Contribute to gradual cultural and structural evolution

System-wide change is often the result of cumulative individual actions.
