NaturismRE

Tell Us What You Think

The “Belly Button View” describes a situation where attention becomes directed inward, prioritising internal control, continuity, or existing influence over broader ecosystem development.

This page invites individuals, communities, and organisations to share their views on the future development of naturism and the use of freely available NaturismRE frameworks, tools, and research.

Introduction

NaturismRE provides free frameworks, tools, and research to support the global development of naturism.

All resources are:

  • Free to access
  • Free to use
  • Free to adapt
  • Free to implement

NaturismRE exists to empower, not to dictate.

The Context

Across the naturist ecosystem, different approaches coexist.

Some organisations actively explore development and modernisation. Others remain focused on maintaining existing structures, internal continuity, or existing influence.

At NaturismRE, we refer to this phenomenon as the “Belly Button View”.

It describes a situation where attention is directed inward, prioritising internal control or continuity over broader ecosystem development.

A Structural Reality

The naturist ecosystem is broader than formal organisations alone.

  • Organised naturism represents only a small fraction of the global naturist population.
  • A significant number of individuals practise naturism outside formal structures.
  • Innovation and evolution may not always originate from established organisations.
  • If organisations choose not to adopt new tools or frameworks, that remains their prerogative.

The Individual Factor

Progress does not depend solely on institutions.

Individuals can:

  • Use available frameworks and tools independently.
  • Encourage discussion within their communities.
  • Contribute to gradual cultural and structural evolution.

System-wide change is often the result of cumulative individual actions.

Why This Page Exists

This page is not a campaign and it is not a directive. It is a structured feedback initiative designed to collect perspectives from individuals, communities, organisations, and observers across the naturist ecosystem.

NaturismRE wants to better understand how people view the current state of naturism, whether they believe change is needed, and whether freely available tools, research, frameworks, and educational resources should be used more actively to support future development.

What We Are Seeking to Understand

  • How people perceive the current direction of organised naturism.
  • Whether individuals believe more modernisation, research, and public education are needed.
  • Whether free NRE resources should be more actively used by individuals, groups, clubs, and organisations.
  • What barriers may prevent wider adoption of new tools and frameworks.
  • How people believe naturism should evolve over the coming years.

How the Responses May Be Used

Responses may be reviewed and analysed by NaturismRE to identify recurring themes, concerns, suggestions, and patterns of opinion.

The results may help guide future NRE resources, research priorities, educational materials, public statements, advocacy frameworks, website content, and community development initiatives.

Anonymous insights may also be summarised in future NRE reports, articles, presentations, or public-interest publications to help explain how individuals and communities view the future of naturism.

Please do not include personal identifying information unless you intentionally wish to do so. The purpose of this initiative is to understand perspectives, not to judge individuals, groups, or organisations.

Your Input

We invite you to share your perspective.

  • There are no right or wrong answers.
  • There is no judgment.
  • No affiliation is required.
  • All constructive perspectives are welcome.

Closing Note

NaturismRE does not seek to control the naturist ecosystem.

NaturismRE provides tools.

What happens next depends on individuals, communities, organisations, and the choices they make.

Key Question

Should freely available tools and frameworks be more actively used to support the future development of naturism?
