What the SSM Survey Looks Like

To support transparency and informed participation, this page shows selected screenshots from the Standardised Stigma Measure (SSM) survey.

These examples are provided so visitors can clearly see:

  • The type of questions asked

  • The neutral and non-sensational tone of the survey

  • How anonymity and privacy are respected throughout

  • The overall length and structure of the questionnaire

Many people are understandably cautious before taking part in research, especially on sensitive social topics. By showing real excerpts from the survey, we aim to remove uncertainty and allow potential participants to decide with confidence whether the SSM is relevant to them.

Important notes

  • The screenshots show blank questions only. No answers are displayed or recorded.

  • All participants complete the survey anonymously. No names, emails, or identifying information are collected.

  • Responses are analysed in aggregate only, as part of a global research initiative.

  • The full survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes, with a visible progress indicator throughout.

Why this matters

The SSM is designed as a serious research and advocacy tool.
Transparency is essential to trust, and trust is essential to meaningful participation.

By sharing these examples openly, we invite participation based on understanding rather than persuasion.
