SHZ Ratings (A–D)
To support consistent implementation and user confidence, all Safe Health Zones (SHZs) are rated on a standard A to E scale. This system allows councils, employers, and public users to understand what facilities, safety measures, and restorative features are in place. It also encourages progressive improvement and ensures alignment with NRE’s quality benchmarks.
Each rating reflects access, environmental quality, user protections, and health impact potential.

Rating Implementation Notes
All SHZs are encouraged to display their classification clearly
Councils or employers can request formal NRE assessment
Ratings are periodically reviewed based on audits, incidents, and community feedback
Ratings help inform worker choice, insurance coverage, and public transparency
Accreditation Threshold
Only zones that meet the minimum standards outlined in Rating D are recognised as Safe Health Zones by NaturismRE. Any location falling below these criteria is not accredited, should not advertise itself as an SHZ, and may be subject to corrective recommendations or removal from public directories.
This threshold ensures every SHZ meets a baseline of safety, clarity, and public trust.
