This document reflects the research, assumptions, estimates, methodology, terminology, and organisational position of NaturismRE at the time it was prepared and transmitted.
Since July 2025, NaturismRE has undergone significant institutional development, including the establishment of the NRE Health Institute, the expansion of its research programmes, the publication of additional reports and policy papers, and the evolution of its methodologies and policy frameworks.
Accordingly, some estimates, projections, assumptions, terminology, recommendations, or policy positions contained within this document may have been refined, superseded, updated, or replaced by more recent research and publications.

Subject: Legal Recognition of Naturism and Nudism – A Climate, Health, and Rights-Based Opportunity for Andorra
To the Honourable Leaders of Andorra,
This letter is issued on behalf of NaturismRE (NRE), an international movement working to advance human rights, mental wellness, and environmental action through the peaceful, legal recognition of naturism and nudism as non-sexual, respectful lifestyle practices.
Andorra has long demonstrated a commitment to personal freedom and ecological stewardship. By formally recognising naturism, your government could offer a meaningful, cost-free way to support climate goals, mental health, and a population already practising these principles informally.
🌍 Naturism: A Cultural Movement, Not a Minority
Across developed nations, over 230 million individuals practise naturism or nudism. In Andorra, we estimate that 14% to 25% of the population engages informally — a figure that could grow to 60% with proper legal clarity and cultural support.
This is not about protest. It is about permission — for a peaceful, wellness-based choice already in quiet motion.
🌱 Andorra’s Emissions Offset Potential Through Naturism
Should 60% of Andorrans engage openly in naturism, this would yield an annual reduction of approximately 0.3 million metric tons of CO₂ — the equivalent of removing 217,391 cars from the road. This would offset around 81.1% of Andorra’s total national emissions.
Net zero by 2050 (aligned with EU climate goals and Andorra’s own low-carbon roadmap) becomes more achievable when citizens are given freedom to participate in low-impact, sustainable lifestyles.
